Enormous opportunity for forward thinking, enthusiastic, and accessible leader/educator who is devoting his/her career to formal/informal Jewish learning across the lifespan to be Director of Congregational Learning and Engagement for a diverse, vibrant 430 household, suburban Philadelphia, conservative synagogue. This is a key leadership position and strategic member of Tiferet Bet Israel’s (TBI) senior staff who will implement a cohesive vision for congregational learning and engagement, including innovative programming for children, teens, families, and adults. The Director has sole responsibility for the Religious School, including Mitzvah Kids and Gan through Hebrew High; Youth and Holiday Programming; and Junior Congregation. The Director should be willing to experiment with different kinds of educational programs and experiences, and be a community builder and team player who fosters a collaborative environment among staff, committees, and the congregation. The Director will have demonstrated experience in a religious school or other educational setting with 100+ students; experience with project management and vision setting; and computer literacy and experience using social media for marketing and engagement. A Bachelor’s Degree in Jewish Education, Education, or equivalent is required; Master’s Degree is preferred.
