Part-Time Ticket Desk Cashier

Job Description


Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Warmly welcome every guest in person and over the phone providing excellent customer service to ensure all needs are met in a gracious, professional and efficient manner.
  • Courteously process ticket sales to  the Museum of Tolerance walk-in public
  • Effectively communicate various ticket prices and membership pricing
  • Effectively communicate information on each exhibit, including a short descriptive summary and approximate time to complete
  • Address customer concerns quickly and secure the assistance they require in a timely manner
  • Work with group-reservations coordinator to process payments for schools and other groups
  • Handle advanced telephone reservations for general public
  • Serve as liaison between public and museum, answering questions regarding
    Museum hours and exhibits
  • Other Duties as may be assigned by supervisor

Skills & Requirements:

  • Must be able to execute all cashier functions; all forms of customer payments; reservations, complete daily closing and reporting of financial transactions with accuracy
  • Friendly, courteous and positive attitude a must
  • Must be available to work flexible days/hours; up to 29 hours/week;
  • Ability to work as team member with other cashiers and museum staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Visit all exhibits in museum in order to be able to answer visitors’ questions
